The Crude Awakening (oil derrick burn) project needs some fresh clean up crew members. Their massive fire works show and burn left an equally massive clean-up project. With Tuesday afternoon/night’s fierce white-out, and the near daily dust storms following the burn, their crew is frazzled, shelled and needs help.
If you are a fan of Dan/Karen and their team’s work, and can spare to commit a week minimum on playa to help with their clean-up, they will pay you $80/day and feed you as well. Please report to Che at the Devil’s Workshop and Day Spa camp (5:10 and Esplanade) or to the Crude Awakening site.
Their power grid is still up, and when I left playa last night, wifi was still working, so a little bit of creature comforts still exist. You’ll need typical playa camp gear or an RV and work clothes.
